Tidy ground, in need of work
Finally got to go to Gillingham. Not watching either Spurs or Exeter so Barnet had to do. The ground itself is in amongst the terraced streets like an old school ground. 2 very good stands, main stand and home end. A rather slim stand down the side and then uncovered (and unused) behind the goal. Needs some work done on it clearly. As an early kick off, atmosphere was somewhat lacking.

Rickety and Scruffy away end
After a nightmare journey with over 3 hours of delay we arrived in 15 mins after ko. End of the first half nothing happened. Second half Gills were the better team. Their goal was through a crowd and blasted in. Bradford barely had a chance. Atmosphere was dead both ends till the goal, then the home end had a bit of atmosphere. The away end is temporary scaffolding. Dirty and difficult to get an atmosphere. Rest of the ground is quite pleasant. No bad views in the away end really. The ground is in a housing estate and when they shut the gates to get to the away end it's a bit of a maze. Grand scheme of thing. OK ground. Terrible away end. Poor standard of football from both teams really. Leaving the ground was very easy!!! The Gillingham fans I spoke to were nice people and overall not the worst day out. 23 quid for ticket. For that stand. Bit over but spent more!!
