Always fun at Sheffield Train Station
1993 - zoned out and took a stray ball straight to the face, soon woke up, I think we lost. 2001 - Police advise dry trains leaving no choice but for other options, a box of baked cakes does the rounds and as we pull into Sheffield the whole carriage is spangled, no idea how we made the match but I remember someone rolling around on the toilet floor, weird ground, had unicorns all over the place. Train back was split 50/50 with Birmingham who had been at Blades, plenty of platform action, would recommend.

Flooded underpass
It was my birthday weekend I was staying in nearby Sheffield for a Xmas beer festival and Palace were playing at millmoor on Sunday I decided as I am in South Yorkshire I will go as was a Palace regular in those days, the ground was rather ramshackle and very basic but we won and it was my birthday so didn't really care,great next door but like millmoor now demolished the underpass between stn and was totally flooded so crossing the road wasn't easy
