Soulless

This is a stadium that is not to my liking at all. It has no character whatsoever and you may as well be playing at a powerleague. It’s a newer ground which had to be improved when the club Aveley got promoted to the National South. The main stands look is functional, proven by the fact that on the day we went there, there was an event going on there, however in the architectural sense, it was soulless and looks like a warehouse of some kind. The roof also doesn’t cover the seats so all of the seats in that main stand were wet, not good when your in the UK. There were 2 cowshed like structures behind each goal which were split in half and a generic stand the other side of the ground which was one of the grounds only redeeming features. The atmosphere there was awful, one of the quietest grounds I’ve ever been to, and there fans were unfriendly and not welcoming. In my opinion, the only reason this ground deserves 1 star is because the team come out to ‘Parklife’.

Great ground

Great all round, modern stadium. Prices of pints not too bad either. Bit of a way to get to but worth it. Went on a Friday night, Aveley FC Vs Great Wakering Rovers
