Interesting small ground on the outskirts of London
Coles Park is a small ground located just down the road from the busy North London area of Wood Green. It only has one stand, which is all-seated. The dugouts are located in front of this stand. The other 3 sides are open for fans who wish to stand. The stadium is located in the middle of houses so there is a net around the stadium to stop balls going into people’s back gardens! There is a car park at the ground, and bus stops literally just outside it! The bus from these stops serve Finsbury Park one way and Northumberland Park the other. There is a small clubhouse at the ground and a food kiosk as well. Ticket prices are cheap- £5 for adults and U16s go free if accompanied by a paying adult. Since I went in July, it was very hot so I had to retreat under a stand for shade. However in the Winter I would imagine it would be freezing as the ground is so open to the elements. Overall an interesting but basic ground.
