Improved
A lot of money has been spent to improve this old dump to a very decent ground.

Nice little stadium hidden behind a residential area
The Len Salmon Stadium is a small ground that is hidden by a large residential area, but also backs onto fields that stretch all the way back to North Benfleet. The ground is quite hard to find- access is through tiny turnstiles which are reached by walking through the car park. One side houses the main stand, a fairly impressive modern stand where the majority of seats are located. On the opposite side are two smaller stands (with seats) that are barely bigger than bus stops! At one end there is an old covered standing area which really could do with a fresh lick of paint. This stand runs the full width of the pitch. At the opposite end is another small covered standing area, which is located a bit far back from the pitch for my liking. A good selection of hot food, snacks and drinks. Not a great atmosphere due to the ground being quite open (due to the small stands). But overall a nice little Essex ground.
