Awful, just awful. Never again.
A truly awful experience. The visit was ruined before I'd even had sight of the pitch. The woman at the turnstile didn't utter a word, looked away and tapped her card reader. Once through we were confronted by a mob of black clad, trousers tucked in boots, wannabes who turned out to be employed by the club to carry out security. This was more thorough than going through airport security. My bag was rummaged through while the being in front of me leered at me, challenging me to protest. He then grabbed the bag from me and put it on a table behind him. He then unzipped my jacket pockets and went through them having barked at me to hold my arms out. In hindsight I should have complained then but I think the shock of my worst ever encounter with football stewards/security had overtaken me. I did complain later to the club but to very little effect. Never again. A truly awful experience. Seems a strange way to show how you value your guests/customers.
