A decent little ground with a good atmosphere.

Solid old-fashioned ground

This is a solid, old-fashioned football ground with a real lived-in, authentic feel to it. There's a very flat covered terrace behind the goal for the home support and a decent main stand adjacent to the bar. Running along the opposite touchline is the Popular Side terrace and behind the far goal a sparse, uncovered away terrace that covers around 2/3 the width of the pitch. The flats behind the away end have the best view of the action.

Great away day…..until you get to the ground

Lovely town, loads of great bars. The market is great for food, I’d swerve the beer in there though as it is like chewing hops (it’s a hipsters dream). The ground itself is a nice walk away, not too far at all, as for parking I parked in town as the streets around the ground are pretty packed and I wasn’t sure if I would get a ticket. The away end is one of the worst I’ve been in, it starts off well…..turnstiles are great traditional turnstiles, as you go in they had academy lads selling programmes at a table which was a really nice touch, great lads who were happy to have a bit of crack with everyone. No roof so there’s no atmosphere at all, they don’t let away teams bring drums to so it’s like watching football in a library, home support is really poor. Had a few lads singing but all in all there’s absolutely no atmosphere. Plus we got beat so that didn’t help!

Don't use the facilities!!

This ground is nice and easy to get too with plenty of parking around the residential streets and not to far a walk from the train station. And that's the positives over. I'm hoping your following is no more than a couple of hundred as the staff can't seem to cope with many visitors. If you want something to eat at half time. I'd set off around the 20th minute mark! The porta cabin loos could also do with a clean. To be fair from the away end the view is not that bad from about halfway up the uncovered terraced. Altho a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss. All in all a typical poor non league ground.
